Established in 1896. The Trafford Youth Theatre perform here every year and they also present the Hale One-Act Play Festival and in accordance with their encouragement of youth are fortunate to welcome the Forest School for their annual show, where they have as many as 80 children up to the age of 11 yrs on stage.

The Amdram web site first hit the net in June, 1997. It originally had 4 online pages, and was funded by Curtain Call, the amateur theatre newsletter for Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. It now has over 300 pages on the server, including advertising pages, on-site hosted club pages and three searchable databases.

Amdram.net is run by a small number of volunteers who maintain the site, forums, blogs and answer e-mails in their spare time.

Established in 1982, Brantham Amateur Theatrical Society (B.A.T.S.) is a village group made up of approximately 100 members of all ages. They perform all of their productions, as well as hosting an annual play festival, at Brantham Village Hall in the county of Suffolk. They also operate two workshops, Junior and Teen B.A.T.S., for the younger members of their group

This group are located in neighbouring Chorlton-cum-Hardy, formerly known as the St Werburghs Amateur Dramatic Society (SWADS), their performance base is at the parish hall, St Werburghs Road, although due to the current popularity of the hall, they usually rehearse elsewhere leading up to the actual stage rehearsals the week before the play.

The Christie hospital is one of the local charities supported by Celesta players ADS. The Christie Hospital is the largest single-site cancer research and treatment centre in Europe. For the last five years they have been raising funds to expand their world class facilities, dedicated to helping identify, treat and cure cancer. Now it is vital that they keep funds available for scientists and clinicians to take their work forward. Some need money to continue vital research or try new treatment approaches, others to buy essential equipment.

Farnworth Little Theatre is based near Bolton, Lancashire and was established in 1948. The first full length play 'Night Must Fall' was presented in 1949. Since then it has given a continuous programme of up to five full length productions a year.

Francis house is one of the local charities supported by Celesta Players ADS. Francis House was opened in 1991. It offers the families of terminally ill children a respite from their role as carers and gives the children a loving home from home.

The Joshua Foundation (TJF) was created in September 1998 to provide holidays and experiences for children and their families where the child is diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The Joshua Foundation was launched on September 27th 1998 with a 5 kilometre fun/walk that raised £16,000, and on January 17th 1999, a huge party at Planet Hollywood, London, saw the first gathering of children and the beginning of "TJF Experiences".
Whereas other wish organisations provide one-off experiences, the Joshua Foundation effectively 'adopts' children and their families providing them with on-going experiences and memories.

The Saracens Theatre Company (formerly known as St Nicolas theatre Group). They are a small group based in the parish of Kings Norton which is situated approximately 10 Kilometers South West of Birmingham, England.

This organisation is a the place to find out whether your group or society may be entitled to a grant. This is especially relevant if your group or society operates within the Manchester City Council area, and is aimed primarily at Community based projects. The site gives a clear outline of the criteria for the different grants available.

Wilmslow Guild Players are an amateur theatre group formed over seventy years ago at the Wilmslow Guild, an independent adult education centre in Wilmslow, Cheshire, England. Their productions range from comedies, classics and mysteries to the magic of their ever-popular pantomime. There is also the annual competitive Festival of One Act Plays. Productions are often staged three-quarters ‘in-the-round’, which offers an intimate relationship between actor and audience.
